Dr. Banks earned her B.S. in Pre-Med/Biology, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of New Mexico.tes of Health and additional studies at Yale University School of Medicine and Case Western Reserve / Cleveland Clinic. She received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine (Philadelphia, PA).
In Albuquerque, she contributed to breast cancer clinical research at the Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute, followed by an internship at the National Cancer Institute / National Institutes of Health and additional studies at Yale University School of Medicine and Case Western Reserve / Cleveland Clinic. While in Philadelphia, she worked in the Gait Lab studying foot and ankle pathologies and collaborated with industry on athletic shoe development for Stride Rite for Kids.

r. Banks completed a 7-year surgical and research fellowship at the Carl T. Hayden Phoenix VA Medical Center, gaining deep expertise across foot and ankle surgery, diabetic wound care, and amputation prevention.
She assisted companies in clinical trials for novel wound-healing products and protocols that benefit high-risk diabetic patients. She then refined high-volume surgical skills at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Plastic Surgery, where she participated in over 1,000 surgeries in a single year.
